Absolutely great place to grab a nice Sunday breakfast. Traditional menu with a few unique items, but everything is done very well. Small inside but a nice patio area with good shade. They sell local art that they display on the walls, which not only brightens the atmosphere but lets you take a souvenir home if you like. My only complaint is the coffee... It wouldn't take much to invest in some quality coffee and real cream/half&half, and I wish they would because whatever it is they serve with the little tear-open cream containers of never-expiring cream substitute just isn't cutting it. Still awesome food though, try the smoked salmon eggs benedict.

The only problem with this place is that they offer so many great choices - it's hard to decide what to order. That is a great problem to have. Went this morning and was going to get my regular Pecan Pancake. It is my favorite! But the specials board outside gave me literally 5 others options of things I wanted as well. I asked the super nice waitress - "pecan pancake or country Benedict?" She said no question - country Benedict. So that's what I got! Two biscuits, with a big slice of country fried steak, perfectly poached eggs, and sausage gravy over the top. The hash browns might look a little dark, but I like my potatoes extra crispy as ordered!! Mom got the biscuits and gravy and a side of bacon. She LOVED my country fried steak so much I kept cutting it up and putting it on her plate, knowing I would get to finish her biscuits and gravy! Again, excellent service, amazing food, and honestly the fastest kitchen in town. I love this place!

Great food. Good friendly service. Bright atmosphere. Recommend the Bennies and home fries. Stay away from the quiche. A little on the heavy side. Good coffee too.

Very nice, local breakfast place. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and it's didn't get too crowded until 10am; that's about when the regulars start coming in. You get a good portion of food for a reasonable price. I had the eggs benedict with mahi-mahi, which was delicious. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area!

  • Ashley E.

Pretty standard "local" breakfast joint. Nothing terribly special or outstanding. Dining room is fairly tiny so if it's busy you're pretty guaranteed to have a wait. There's also outdoor seating as an option. I doubt I'd probably come back if I'm in the area.

Great breakfast with lots of choices for breakfast. Very reasonably priced as well. Consider sharing one of their omelets. ..huge portions.

  • K H.

One of the best breakfast places around. I love the quaintness of the inside, as well as, the outside patio! The food was more than delicious. I got an egg scramble and it was huge! It also had a large amount of bacon and green peppers inside, which some breakfast places sometimes skimp on! The coffee was great and the service was even better! Go, go, go! It's a must!

  • Summer R.

Amazing! We thought it was a chain and never wanted to try it. We had to go to lowes and I was starving and I'm so glad I was! I had no idea it was so popular. Good price, great food, large portions. The home fries need seasoning in my mind. Nice atmosphere with very friendly people. Outside seating looked nice too. I highly recommend and we will be going back. You have to try the Eggs Benedict

We have eggs benedict and sausage omlette. The food was great! Don't come with a big party without calling ahead. Service was fast!

  • Pixie K.

The food was great, but the place is very tiny. It also had a bit of a snooty vibe, which I still don't understand why.

A great little breakfast spot, with fast service and friendly staff. Sweet little courtyard and dog friendly! Good find!

Great choice for a family breakfast! We had a party of 8 on a Saturday morning and we were seated quickly and our food came out within 10 minutes, perfectly hot. The pancakes were light, fluffy and delicious, and the eggs and sausage were cooked perfectly. The portions are large, and will be a able to feed your hungriest eater. A little difficult to find, they face away from A1A, facing the Lowes.

    (4)
  • Lisa S.

Delicious filling breakfast was a great value! Benedict's were AWESOME w home fries seasoned to perfection. Great service, clean, artsy environment!

    (5)
  • Sarah B.

Love the French Toast! This place always has a decent crowd but they work to get you seated quickly.

    (4)
  • Leontine M.

This place is excellent if you are looking for a hearty breakfast. They put large portions onto the plate. The menu has an extensive variety of options that can accommodate any palate. However, they really should put up signs pointing to where they are located. They restaurant faces Lowes.

Excellent. Bright, clean seating area. Quick, friendly service and delicious, well-presented food. We will be back.

First, I'd like to mention that I had no idea this place was so popular. We had a brief wait before being seated. It wasn't an issue at all. I didn't mind waiting the 5 or 10 minutes and the food and service were well worth the wait. Once you get inside there is a lot of bright, playful art everywhere. It's just a very quaint, tiny breakfast place. For me, its hard to draw the line between tiny or quaint, which is tiny and charming. So, this place is definitely quaint. I had Eggs benedict with Salmon and home fries - delicious. I was worried that it wouldn't be enough, I also had some french toast. The french toast was completely unnecessary, I was full after the Eggs Benedict and home fries, the french toast was decadent though. My girlfriend had Eggs Benedict classically and she loved it as well. Our friend Jordan had the Greek Scrambler with rye toast and a fruit cup, she was also pleased. Besides the food being excellent, our server was sweet and all about her job, but was still able to give me a great recommendation when I asked for her advice. The only thing I wish was that the Scrambled Egg Cafe had more seating, but I also understand the practicality of a small breakfast and brunch place. So all in all, if you're looking for a quaint, well serviced, colorful, and happy breakfast spot - The Scrambled Egg Café is definitely for you. Delightful, delicious, delectable, and undeniably charming. Also, it's right by A1A which is near the beach! So if you're on the beach after watching a sunrise, get some coffee and a hot breakfast here!

  • Sara S.

We love this place, it's within walking distance from our home so we've probably been 100 times or more and never had a bad experience. All of the scramblers are great and the service is beyond compare!

  • Chris V.

Great lunch, atmosphere and service. Very dog friendly (outside). A little pricy but worth the convenience and location.

    (5)
  • Linus L.

Average food, nothing special. The sausage gravy tasted like oregano which I don't care for, although the biscuits were good. My omelet was good, but the eggs were overlooked.

    (2)
  • Charles B.

This is one of my favorite places. They get so busy that there's a wait, but its worth it. I wish the place was bigger. The Mexican Scrambler is awesome. My son likes a bacon egg and cheese bagel. Its hard to go wrong.

  • Julie M.

Packed in like sardines. Tables are inches apart. Hear conversations on both sides. Loud. Food ok. Service ok. I won't waste money and go back. Too many great places to eat in the area.

  • Mailin O.

Soooooooo delicious. Perfect breakfast/brunch place. Very nice atmosphere! The cafe is very cozy and casual, and the service was great. The food was plentiful and the price was wonderful.

    (5)
  • Nannette C.

The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is solely for the reason that the waiting staff was extremely friendly. My onion rings tasted as if it was fried in old oil and the food was subpar to say the least. I was extremely disappointed.

    (2)
  • Sabrina M.

First time trying the Scrambled Egg Cafe upon a recommendation and it did not disappoint! Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Service was on point too. It is a seat yourself type venue with a small patio area for outdoor dining and dog friendly! We were quickly greeted by a very friendly waitress. The menu had a wide range of options to pick from. There was something for everyone and every taste bud. The menu wasn't too complex but provided a lot of variety. I really appreciate that in a restaurant. The food came out quick and hot, despite only having one empty table in the place. I had the Italian Scramble and my boyfriend had the Greek Eggs Benedict. Neither of us could stop raving about the food and I think my boyfriend told everyone he saw about the Greek Eggs Benedict. The prices were comparable and we will be back again! Maybe next time for lunch!

Great breakfast! Qualty food, very large portions, friendly staff, and very affordable. Get there early, the locals fill this great spot up.

Great breakfast with large portions. We had the scrambled eggs, bacon, homefries, omelet and chocolate chip pancakes and it was all delicious!

This place is incredible!! We had a little bit of everything & loved every single bite! Highly recommend them!

  • Laura D.

Great choice for breakfast! Our food came out so quickly on a busy Sunday morning. Quiche Lorraine was huge and stuffed full of spinach and cheese. Blueberry pancakes were light, with lots of berries, and came with a cup of real butter (nice touch over the usual oily margarine spreads). A little pricier than your typical breakfast spots, not sure why.

  • Tammy R.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant has inside and nice patio seating. I had the patty melt which was average with sweet potato fries which very good my husband had the cheeseburger it was average the meat tasted like a preformed frozen burger so it was average the iced tea was not fresh brewed it was instant which I don't care for but overall it was average

  • Mark B.

Honestly, I feel guilty about the two stars but my meal was nothing special. Ordered the Denver omelet and have never seen ham cut in such small proportions. This ham must have been diced someplace else, no one can dice these symmetrically at perfect squares less than 1/4". Off note, the rest of the ingredients in the omelet were miniature and was lost in the eggs. Perhaps in the future I will try this place again, although I avoid eating breakfast out since it is the costliest meal of the day, and making a comparable meal at home is a no brainer.

  • John C.

Our whole family went here on our recent visit to Melbourne Beach. The only negative was the wait but when you have 4 adults, a 9 year old, and a 2 1/2 year old you should expect a wait in this small restaurant. But the wait staff was very accomodting and the food was terrific and perfectly prepared.

    (4)
  • Jerry B.

Breakfast was very good but you had better get there early as seating is limited and it gets crowded fast. I got the Western Omelette and it was one of the best I ever had. Hash browns and toast were good and everything was served hot and fast. Definitely recommend for breakfast.

  • Colleen C.

I am at a loss for words to describe how delicious this restaurant is. Came here for breakfast with my Mom and we took full advantage of the outside dining on a beautiful morning. I had the Banana Pecan Pancakes and they were literal perfection. She had an omelet and loved it just as much. I wish I was able to give it 5 stars, but the waitress flip flopped the credit cards for our table and the folks next to us. It all worked out fine in the end, and mistakes do happen, but that's a BIG boo boo in my book!

    (3)
  • Jennifer M.

Friendly staff. Cute place. My only beef is that I was supposed to have cheese on my omelette and after practically eating my whole omelette, realized the reason why it was kind of bland is because the cheese was missing! That was disappointing but not even worth bringing up at that point. My friends enjoyed their breakfast selections. I'll consider giving them another try.

SEC is always delicious! I have never had a bad breakfast or lunch there. I highly recommend SEC!

Scrambled eggs reminds me of a few places in the springs I enjoy eating at for breakfast. Small, fun, good food, and fairly new to the neighborhood. It doesn't have the local charm that Son on the Beach had but it still serves good food that is very reasonably priced. It's a small establishment maybe 10 tables inside, with a breakfast bar, and some outside patio seating. They have what I call the "modern" look going on, which is fine. Nice, clean, but nothing really interesting. I must have been in my Eggs Benedict mood this week because I opened the menu and zoned right into the Mahi Eggs Benedict and didn't think of anything else. Don't get me wrong it all looked wonderful but I could never get anything like that in the Springs. Num num!!! Other items that were tried included the Italian omelet, fluffy buttermilk pancakes, and Greek Eggs Benedict. Again I had satisfied family members on my hands. Now I do have to compare this to Son on the Beach but only in the sense that they are of similar venue. Both a breakfast/ lunch spot only open until 2. If I had to chose only one to go to though... I would say Son on the Beach. It has a much bigger and original menu to try. If you can do both though... Don't miss out on the mahi eggs Benedict it was very good. * oh they do give a military discount here! Just make sure to mention it to your server!

Service was average. Went for breakfast thinking with the name what it is we were in for a treat. Well it was just ok. They have a varied menu but bacon was undercooked and very greasy. Scrambled eggs were way over cooked. The two scrambles that were ordered were kind of bland, with over cooked eggs.french toast was very good but pancakes not at all, more crepe like than a fluffy pancake. Would try again in case they just had an off day in the kitchen but wouldn't go out of my way to do so. So if you're in the area and wanna roll the dice give it a try but wouldn't say it's a must try place. Got 3 stars instead of 2 due to the attentive wait staff.

We stopped here while in town waiting for the Space Shuttle to launch and were very surprised both by how good everything was and how cheap it was. Would be an easy five stars if it wasn't for two things: 1. The portions of eggs are fantastic, but my side of hash browns was what looked like one of those measly frozen hash brown cakes you can buy at the grocery store. The home fries looked great, and you get a ton, making me wonder why they even bother offering seemingly frozen hash browns. 2. This place needs noise dampening like you wouldn't believe. We were there when it was kind of busy in the late morning and it was so loud we could barely talk to each other. Wish we would have sat outside. Other than that, it was great. Would easily go back next time we're in town.

The best breakfast I have had in a very long time. All homemade and fresh ingredients. Pancakes were great, omelets were on point and wait staff was super friendly. Must have breakfast here

  • Andy C.

If it were rating this purely for the food, I'd give this place four stars. But I was really turned off by their proselytizing. There are prayers and other biblical references on the menu, on the walls, even in the bathrooms. I like my eggs scrambled, but not with gospels on the side.

In town on a beach trip. I had the greek omelette w/ hashbrowns & a biscuit. My bf had "the works" scramble w/ biscuits & gravy and grits. We both truly enjoyed our meals. Even though there was a huge line on a Sat mid-morning, we were seated quickly. Service was also quick and the waitress was friendly. If we come back to the area, we will definitely return to the restaurant!

    (4)
  • Annette P.

":-) Nice surprise! One person had the Greek eggs Benedict and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had yummy blueberry hotcakes. The grits were done with perfection. Nice to have a them as a local breakfast and lunch diner in the neighborhood."

This was a small but very busy breakfast joint out on beachside. Looks like this place is pretty popular with the locals, because it was packed on Sunday morning! The service was friendly, but we didn't see the waitress too much. I guess that's understandable given how busy it was. My friend ordered an omelet with cheese - but they forgot the cheese. Uh oh. My daughter had the chocolate chip pancakes and thought they were very tasty. I had the sausage scrambler, which was okay, but a little bland. I might go here for breakfast during the week, the weekend is just too packed and the place not good enough to wait for.

    (3)
  • Marty S.

Met up with another yelper here for breakfast. Cute place, very friendly waitstaff. Seemed to have some "regulars" there. My food was good; had the smoked salmon eggs benedict. My fellow yelper had a sausage scrambler-it looked yummy and my daughter enjoyed her kids breakfast. It was alot of food for the price-I didn't get hungry again until last nite.

One of those places I want to be better than it is. It's popular and acceptable, but you won't put it on your don't miss list.

    (3)
  • Jim S.

The Scrambled Egg is a comparatively recent addition to the local breakfast / lunch scene that I feel will be a success. The wait staff are friendly and efficient. After three visits, trying out three different breakfast dishes from omelettes to benedicts to plain old fashioned scrambled eggs, I found the cooking consistently excellent. I have yet to try their blueberry pancakes. I prefer a stronger coffee, but their coffee is acceptable and representative of most breakfast diners. All in all, The Scrambled Egg is an excellent place to eat breakfast.

  • L.A. B.

We went on a late Sunday Morning - the place was packed full but we still got a table in less than 5 minutes. Outdoor seating looked great but we took the shortcut for a table inside (we should have waited since it was so loud and busy). I ordered a veggie omelet which was ok I guess, nothing special and a bit watery actually.. Heads up vegetarians: the home fries have ham in them! Service was friendly and fast and attentive, big mugs of coffee were great and kept getting refilled. The only other thing I should mention is that there was a lot of Christian religious artwork and bible verses on the menu which was a turn off for us. I might go somewhere else like Sun on the Beach or Lily's next time.

  • gloria f.

I love this place! The omelets are wonderful...I had the asparagus one & it was fresh & huge. I also love the blueberry pancakes. Not expensive at all, the coffee is good, and the wait people are very friendly. I'll be back!

  • Alex R.

We have a lot of great breakfast places in the area. I'd say this is above sun on the beach (heresy, I know) and memaws, but below suntree cafe and blueberry muffin. Portions are big though so it's a good value. It's earned it's place in our rotation.

    (4)

Super cute place! I love all the colors and artwork. The food was great and the service was good. I'd definitely go back. :)

Major disappointment! I had to ask for silverware & the waitress forgot to bring my water after asking me (very forgetful). My wife had to ask the waitress for a carry-out box--twice! The food tasted bland & the coffee definitely tasted weak. The potatoes were from one extreme to the other (burnt to soft). The place was extremely small; I think the owner was trying to cut costs EVERYWHERE. The only thing I agree with is, the waitress was friendly--that's it!

    (1)
  • Paul H.

My family and I are some of the regulars another reviewer mentioned. We've been going regularly for some time now and know many of the staff by name. We think it's the best breakfast place we've ever eaten -- pancakes are big and fluffy, portions are large, and the variety is great. The muffins are tremendous, large over-sized muffins in a variety of inventive flavors. The lunch menu is excellent as well. The simple egg salad sandwich is the best I've had. My dad loves their pastrami.

We had breakfast here one morning, liked it so much went back again. Good food and good service. I highly recommend it.

    (4)
  • Eric W.

I think many of the items here are far too expensive. The place is so noisy that you can hardly think - If the owner just put up a couple of acoustic tiles it would be so much more tolerable.....but then again they don't like to run the AC either. You get a nice plate of food, but most of the time it has no real taste to speak of. The coffee is also like water.

    (2)
  • M M.

Good place to eat breakfast at. Friendly staff and good scrambles.

    (4)
  • Cindy J.

Food is pretty good, service is good, coffee is just so-so. It is a pretty tiny place, but they do have a handful of outdoor tables. Because of this, I would only want to eat here in off-peak times. I felt like the people next to me were actually seated AT our table.

As a native New Yorker, the menu at the Scrambled Egg measures up! The breakfast and lunch items are diverse, fresh, tasty and afforable. My toddler also gives it two thumbs up as she enjoyed the chicken fingers and laid-back atmosphere. The owners and wait staff are super friendly and attentive which makes all the difference when eating out. I recommend it to anyone who has an appetite!

    (5)

Fresh!!!! The menu selection is diverse, any the place is cute and clean, but what really stands out is the freshness. I love to fuel up here before starting any Lowe's project.

good food. loud. horrible coffee - not burnt, just bad. i'm not a coffee snob, but instant coffee would've been better. atheists be warned, religious quotes on the menu, walls, etc.

This is one of my favorite places. They get so busy that there's a wait, but its worth it. I wish the place was bigger. The Mexican Scrambler is awesome. My son likes a bacon egg and cheese bagel. Its hard to go wrong.

Packed in like sardines. Tables are inches apart. Hear conversations on both sides. Loud. Food ok. Service ok. I won't waste money and go back. Too many great places to eat in the area.

The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is solely for the reason that the waiting staff was extremely friendly. My onion rings tasted as if it was fried in old oil and the food was subpar to say the least. I was extremely disappointed.

Breakfast was very good but you had better get there early as seating is limited and it gets crowded fast. I got the Western Omelette and it was one of the best I ever had. Hash browns and toast were good and everything was served hot and fast. Definitely recommend for breakfast.

We have a lot of great breakfast places in the area. I'd say this is above sun on the beach (heresy, I know) and memaws, but below suntree cafe and blueberry muffin. Portions are big though so it's a good value. It's earned it's place in our rotation.

    (4)
  • D O.

    (2)
  • Mark G.

Good place, but hard to compare with Sun on the Beach and Blue Lemon - I'd go to those places first.

    (4)

    (5)
  • Denise L.

We stopped by this place on our last day of vacation. You would never expect such a nice local restaurant in the middle of a strip mall, but the Scrambled Egg was a great local restaurant with pretty good food.

    (4)
  • J C.

I love this place! The omelets are wonderful...I had the asparagus one & it was fresh & huge. I also love the blueberry pancakes. Not expensive at all, the coffee is good, and the wait people are very friendly. I'll be back!

    (4)
  • Ashley E.

Pretty standard "local" breakfast joint. Nothing terribly special or outstanding. Dining room is fairly tiny so if it's busy you're pretty guaranteed to have a wait. There's also outdoor seating as an option. I doubt I'd probably come back if I'm in the area.

    (5)
  • Summer R.

    (5)
  • Adam S.

The best breakfast I have had in a very long time. All homemade and fresh ingredients. Pancakes were great, omelets were on point and wait staff was super friendly. Must have breakfast here

SEC is always delicious! I have never had a bad breakfast or lunch there. I highly recommend SEC!

I love this place! The omelets are wonderful...I had the asparagus one & it was fresh & huge. I also love the blueberry pancakes. Not expensive at all, the coffee is good, and the wait people are very friendly. I'll be back!

We have a lot of great breakfast places in the area. I'd say this is above sun on the beach (heresy, I know) and memaws, but below suntree cafe and blueberry muffin. Portions are big though so it's a good value. It's earned it's place in our rotation.

We stopped by this place on our last day of vacation. You would never expect such a nice local restaurant in the middle of a strip mall, but the Scrambled Egg was a great local restaurant with pretty good food.

Food is pretty good, service is good, coffee is just so-so. It is a pretty tiny place, but they do have a handful of outdoor tables. Because of this, I would only want to eat here in off-peak times. I felt like the people next to me were actually seated AT our table.
